who lights the match
holds it to the tear-soaked wood

to melt the golden calf
and let run
the molten, searing pain
of his vain imaginings
far away
down the river
clogged with self-wrought

George, delight in the joy of knowing you are LOVED immeasurably by God, your family and your multitude of friends.
